"Changing the education paradigms"

In this talk, Ken Robinson, talks about a worldwide reform of education and this is mainly for two reasons:

Economic: to teach children their place in the current economy.

Cultural: give them a cultural identity through education and they can pass it to the rest of the world (globalization).

Which is difficult because there're problems with the current education system:

- Try to advance with past mistakes.
- School dropouts, because have a college degree don't ensures a good job.
- Decrease in arts because it's more important for them teach math (decreasing the opportunities for children to release their creativity)
- "School as a factory", as has industrialized the process of education, and how children are treated as a group, rather than being treated as individuals.
- The false epidemic of ADHD(Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder) and how the system numbs our children with dangerous drugs and turn them into zombies.

And all of this trying to maintain an educational system designed for the era of industrial revolution.

I entirely agree with his approach to the topic. And we should get a prompt solution so, for the next generations, the education can be better.
